Happenings
What's up next - June 28, 2008. We've changed our meeting dates to fourth Saturdays. Rather than waiting 7 weeks between meetings (since we already had a June meeting), we're having an extra meeting this year, and this one is it. We won't have a formal program this time - everybody bring something to discuss, whether it is something you've made, something you've seen and want to know how to do, or something you have in the works that has questions that need answering. Anything craft related is welcome!
Welcome to the Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida
We are a group of machine knitters dedicated to the preservation and advancement of our craft. Our members include every level from beginner to expert, including several former knitting machine dealers, machine knitting teachers, and machine knit pattern designers.
All machines are welcome, including KnitKing/Brother, Singer/Silver-Reed, Passap and Bond.
We meet on the fourth Saturday of each month at the home of our most favorite knitter, Ann! Ann's home is close to both I110 and Highway 90, making it convenient for those driving from the Florida Panhandle or South Alabama. (Please check the schedule page and check the "Happenings" section at the top of this page for changes to date, time and place.) Meetings include a show-and-tell, a demonstration, and usually some swapping of yarns and books.
Several times a year, our meetings are a two-day affair. Bring your machine, yarn and lunch, and work on our current project or one of your own choosing. And don't worry if you can't come for the whole thing! Come for as long as you can!
Just visiting? We'd love to meet you! Please see our schedule page for coming events and contact us for more information.
