Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met December 1, 2007 at Ace's Restaurant in Milton FL, with Ann Odom, Jean Neal, Dianne Bayless, Von deLoach, and Susan Spencer, Bob & Frankie Roswald, Barbara Meloy, Karen Hughes and Martha Lyle in attendance.
The Ronald McDonald House has a lot of baby blankets coming their way; they give the blankets to sick & premature babies. Some of us commented that we have more blankets at home that need to be finished up, so Karen said she'll wait until the next meeting to take them, giving us time to complete them.
Susan Spenceris working on next year's schedule and asked for ideas and demonstrators for 2008. By the end of the lunch, we had filled the schedule, though Barbara Meloy, who had to leave early, may be surprised at how much demonstrating she'll be doing next year! One knitter asked that we find a pattern for a knitted man, but searching has found only some knitting men, and that's not what she's looking for. If anyone out there has devoloped a pattern, please let us know! Good around the house a plus!
January's meeting will January 5, 2008, 10:00 am at Ann Odom's house. Barbara Meloy will present a discussion and demonstration of tuck stitch. Please bring your completed baby blankets so that Karen can take them to Ronald McDonald House.
