Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met December 19, 2009 with Susan Spencer, Barbara Meloy, Karen Hughes, Jean Neal, Pat Lawson, and Ann Odom in attendance
Blackwater Bistro hosted our Christmas luncheon, and it was delicious!
Barbara Meloy brought some of her signature soap for all of us. Thanks, Barbara!
Karen Hughes attended a reception at Ronald McDonald House, and asked them if our blankets are still needed there - and was told emphatically YES, so we'll continue with the yearly project as before. This year's blankets are due at the January meeting, and Karen will deliver them to the house.
It's time to fix the schedule for 2010, so we spent a good part of the meeting discussing different programs and trying to get everyone to teach. I think this year will be fabulous!
Ann Odom told us about an experience at The Haven of Our Lady of Peace where someone was cold and there were no wraps available. In response, our January meeting will be doing a one-time charity knit-in for our January 26-27 meeting. We'll be combining this with WEAVING so that we'll be learning as we help.
HAPPY KNITTING!
Susan
