Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met in Barbara Meloy's home, July 1, 2006, with seven in attendance.
Ann, Dianne, Karen and Susan set up standard gauge machines with ribbers. Barbara helped us to diagnose problems with our machines, including missing parts, and worn out sponge bars. Then Barbara taught us several cast-ons, including the broken-toe cast-on. While it was review for Karen and Ann, Susan and Dianne were happy to get instruction for their new machines! Jean and Von offered up extra advice throughout the day.
Barbara fed us a lovely lunch of chicken salad and a yummy lemon chiffon pie, and we took a tour of her new home. Beautiful!
August's meeting promises to be more intense, so brush up on your basic ribber techniques, and bring your machine to the Milton library August 5, 2006 for the Ribber II class. The library opens at 9:00 - please have your machines set up and ready to use by 10:00. We have the room for the entire day, so bring a lunch and something to drink and let's knit away the day.
