Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met at the Milton Library June 24, 2006, with Dianne, Von, Barbara Meloy, Karen, Susan, Jean and Ann in attendance.
Von demonstrated a seven-minute slipper, and talked about picot hems and short-rowing while she worked. She then talked Ann into making a second slipper to match. Great demo, thanks Von!
The Sandee's Kwik Knit seminar that we hoped would be here is officially off, as regretably we were unable to generate enough interest. Sorry, Sandee.
Dianne and Susan reported on their recent trip to Camp Iwannaknit in Indiana, and Dianne brought her almost-finished mobius scarf from her Cat Bordhi class there.
Susan has been working on our Free Pattern Links page. If you see any missing, let her know.
The Schedule has undergone a makeover. The library has another group meeting in the afternoons on 4th Saturdays, which keeps us from having the extended meetings when we need to. The schedule page has been update to reflect that meetings are now on 1st Saturdays.
July's meeting is July 1, 9:30 a.m. AT BARBARA'S HOUSE. This meeting is a ribber class, so pack up your machine, yarn and manuals, and come learn with us. Barbara is even providing lunch! We'll be working until we collapse or Barbara throws us out, whichever comes first.
HAPPY KNITTING!
