Meeting Notes
The Machine Knitters of Pensacola, Florida met at the Milton Library September 2, 2006, with Dianne, Martha, Von, Ann, Karen, Susan, and Jean in attendance.
Frankie and Bob Roswold visited for the day. Frankie is primarily a hand knitter, and Bob is a Bond machine knitter of about a year
We spent the morning measuring for custom knitting, using How to Measure Up from "Threads" magazine and and Standard Body Measurements/Sizing" from the Craft Yarn Council. Also of interest was "Measurements from my Favorite Clothes," also from "Threads."
The Sandee's Kwik Knit seminar is back on! Mark your calendars for November 11 and go to Sandee's registration page. to sign up.
Von won a first place ribbon for her baby dress at the cultural art show sponsored by the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (used to be the Home Makers Extension). Congrats, Von!
October's meeting is October 7, 10:00 a.m. at the Milton Library. Barbara will be leading us in how to make socks on the knitting machine. You'll need to bring a standard gauge machine with ribber, and don't forget to swatch! This is an all day meeting, so come prepared with a lunch.
