Tubular Socks - Standard Gauge

Main Bed & Ribber
Yarn: Any (to give gauge)
Gauge: 7 sts/11 rows/inch
Tension: 6/7 (to give gauge)
Size: med./large ladies

Ribbed top:
CO 74 sts in a 2 X 2 rib.
RC 000 K 20/30 r end COR.
Transfer to mb.
K 1 r to put carriage on RT.
Remove on w/y.
Re hang the left 19 on the mb, starting at 0 and going left. Hang the rt 19 sts on the rt mb, doubling up the center st. Hang remaining sts on corresponding ribber needles. (Waste yarn will be on the inside of sock.) Remove waste yarn, and unknit the right mb sts so yarn is on the right side of bed. (COR k mb first.) RC000,
Raise Ribber, attach coupler. Knit in the round for 110 r. COR (Tubular is 2 r for 1 measured row....)

Heel:
Drop Ribber half way down, change to presser on mb carriage, set for short rowing. RC000.
Short row 1 sts at a time, passing the yarn under the pulled needle until there are 12 sts left. Bring needles back into working pos. 1 at a time, eliminate side holes by hanging heel of end ribber st needle from both sides on mb.
Remove presser, raise ribber, attach coupler, set for circular knitting.

Foot:
RC000 K 132 r (for 6") or more or less in circular knitting.

Toe:
Decrease 1 st each end of each bed EOR (4 carriage passes) until 20 sts on each bed, then ER until 12 sts remain. K 2 r. Remove on w/y leaving along tail. Graft toe (Kitchner).

Sew cuff/ribbing seam.
